Draco found his mother in the rose parlor, sipping a cup of tea while leafing through the Prophet. She glanced up at him, then did a double-take.

"Draco, is something the matter?"

Draco realized he was grinning like a simpleton. He sat across from his mother and replied, "I thought I felt something, some action or a flutter in my stomach. Could it be the baby?"

Narcissa sat back, a thoughtful look on her face. "It's probably too soon to feel the baby move," she said.

Draco's shoulders slumped, and his mother reached across the table and patted his hand.
