Harry felt like a ball of lead had settled in his stomach as Mr Higgins cleared his throat.
"Esteemed members of the Wizengamut," Higgins began. "My client has requested an audience with you because the future of the Malfoy family hangs in the balance."
Harry rolled his eyes and barely refrained from snorting out loud.
"Mr Potter," Higgins continued with a gesture at Harry, "is carrying the Malfoy heir, yet he has indicated he has no wish to do the honorable thing by marrying Mr Malfoy. Instead, Potter would prefer his child go through life bearing the stigma of illegitimacy."
