“So it turns out that this snake is very old,” Harry says. The snake doesn’t nod or make any indication of understanding; Draco isn’t sure if that means it can’t understand or just isn’t bothered.
“It doesn’t really have a name,” Harry continues, “but says that we can call it Karst if we like, because it likes that kind of landscape.”
“It?” Draco asks.
“Karst says that all the he she stuff is nonsense,” Harry says, grinning, “and also appears to have a very poor opinion of Nicolas Flamel.”
Draco feels his eyebrows shoot up his forehead.
“What?” he says.
