Draco sits in the waiting area of St Mungo’s, watching the shifting landscape of people around him. It’s all a performance, he thinks. The Healers swishing around in their green robes, the medistaff keeping everything going, the patients and their families.
Draco, waiting. He’s pretending to be calm. He’s not sure that his performance is very convincing.
“This is a very low risk surgery,” Harry has told him, time and time again.
“Everything has risk,” Draco has retorted.
Draco knows, hopes, that Harry will be absolutely fine. People get knee replacements all the time, even without the benefit of magic.
