“Draco, did you already—?” Harry starts, stepping into the library before he realizes that Draco’s speaking to someone in the fire.
Harry opens his mouth to apologize, but the white flash of Draco’s eyes signals him for rescue instead.
“I apologize,” Draco says to the person in the fire, old and bearded, their gaze direct as it flicks to Harry standing in the doorway.
“The office will contact you about rescheduling.” The person, a solicitor, Harry guesses, inclines their head as they withdraw from the flames.
Draco remains on the hearth rug, knuckles white. Harry wraps him in an embrace.
