Potter's blithe comment doused Draco's happy illusion of a harmonious family. He reckoned most teens drove their parents mad, but neither he nor Potter had been typical teens. Potter didn't have parents, and Draco had been focused on his family's safety.
Draco absently stirred his tea. "I suppose we each wish we could have tested our parents' patience as teens."
Potter was silent for a long moment before saying, "At least our children will have the chance." His lips quirked. "In fact, we can tell them that's why we fought a war--to give them the opportunity to be brats."
