Draco barely glanced up when Potter returned to the parlor a few moments later. Potter drew up short at the sight of him. "Would you like me to leave?" he asked. "You look tired, and you should probably rest."

"Why are you acting so solicitous?" Draco muttered. "I didn't take it easy on you when you were pregnant."

"Yeah, and I remember what that was like."

Potter's quiet affirmation was the final straw. "I'm sorry I was such a fucking cunt," Draco whispered. "What if you had lost the baby?"

"Alright, that does it," said Potter. "You're going to bed."

Way to kick someone when he is down, Harry. But hey you have been the wronged party here right? You have the moral highroad all along.

I'm not sure how Harry is being an ass here. Draco admitted he was a jerk when Harry was pregnant, Harry agreed with him (why lie, when we all saw what a jerk Draco was?), and when Draco got all maudlin, Harry insisted he get some rest.

Harry is taking the "high road" by putting an end to this encounter, after seeing how overwrought Draco is becoming.

Harry saw how down Draco was, he had already torn him to shreds when he said that he still wanted out of the marriage (which as we talked about before, in your universe will never happen) and then to say "Yes I remember what that was like" aka - you being an arse and not "I know how tired you feel" well if that is not kicking someone when he is down, I don't know. But here we will never agree, because I still see Draco as abiding by the laws of his world which in your universe is 100years backwards and thus not kind to children out of wedlock, whereas Harry only sees his personal issues. But seen as this develops only 100 words at a time, I think it will be another 5 years before this gets anywhere between them.
