"Pansy, my relationship with Potter is difficult enough without your snide comments," said Draco. His voice sounded tetchy to his own ears, but he'd choke before he apologized. Pansy had shown up uninvited, and Draco wasn't up to playing the courteous host.
Pansy stood abruptly. "Hormones, darling," she snapped. "It seems you could do with a nap. I'll see myself out."
Draco let her go. They'd been inseparable friends at Hogwarts. Now, however, he found her tiresome. Pansy's rude commentary on others used to be amusing, but Draco was losing his tolerance for it. Perhaps he did need another nap.
