Very Merry Ho-Ho everyone! It's once again time for our Christmas Challenge.

As in prior years, we will suspend our weekly challenges (the current one concludes next Sunday November 27) until the New Year (2023, yikes!) As usual, we will run our traditional drabble/ficlet/art Christmas challenge. And, as always, the prompts are a mix of words, phrases, themes, and I even included a picture this year. ;)

The table below contains thirty-one prompts. Your challenge is to write a drabble or ficlet or draw one picture for each prompt, and post one a day, starting Thursday, December 1.

If posting daily sounds too daunting, you can take part in the second challenge, which is to write a fic or draw one pic incorporating all 31 prompts.

Or do both! Or do some other combination that includes all 31. And for those of you who like to take on multiple challenges, feel free to combine our prompts with the ones at other prompt communities.

There's no pressure to play, though. If you want to continue to post once in a while, or only have time to do so, then take your pick of the prompts below to work with (more than one is fine too); we want everyone to have fun!

The word limit, as in previous years, is suspended (no minimum or maximum word count), so you don't have to keep to 100 words unless you really want to. The prompts need not be used in any particular order, and there's no need to state a team affiliation. Or, of course, you may draw art instead. We love art! Everyone loves art!

Any posts you make need to be tagged with christmas challenge 22.

And so, without further ado, here are the prompts:

1 Christmas Yeti 2 Fairy Lights
3 Plum pudding 4 Christmas kitten
5 Gingerbread house 6 Christmas Star
7 Tinsel 8 Silver and Gold
9 Reindeer games 10 Decorating The Common Room
11 Mulled Wine 12 Santa Hat
13 Christmas Play 14 Caroling
15 Christmas Ornaments 16 Pine cones
17 Chimney 18 Icicle
19 Nutcracker 20 Christmas goose
21 Fruitcake 22 Yule Log
23 Office Christmas Party 24 Last minute Christmas shopping
25 Midnight Mass 26 Boxing Day
27 Christmas scarf 28 Home For The Holidays
29 Mistletoe 30 Champagne Toast
31 New Year’s Resolution

Is everything clear?

I shall post the 2022 wrap up post for the weekly team competition next Sunday and then we can get going!

Happy creating!
