“You have set these new wards to discern the contents of my heart?” Mother eventually said, sounding quite waspish. Draco chose to focus on how long it had taken her to speak, rather than be hurt by her tone.

“No,” he said, remaining calm. He promised himself the worst was over. “I shall do that myself, as we talk. As you interact with me. With Harry.”

“And how long have I,” she retorted tartly, “to school my heart into obedience, dear son?”

“All things being equal?” Draco said, still hiding every emotion. “Until you leave the bounds of my wards.”

? Sorry I can't follow. He has told her to leave the house, and that the wards won't let her back in until she has realized that he is happy with Harry and accepts that. But now I wonder how he will make her leave, what prevents her from staying in the Manor?

Boredom. At the very least. He's sentenced her to house arrest, basically. He has no intention of forcing her out of the house on any particular schedule. She'd have to pack before she can leave, for one thing.

He isn't forcing her out, or forcing her in, either way. What he is doing is asserting dominance. He's making it abundantly clear that it's HIS house, now, and that he's going to live in it under his own standards, not hers. As long as that is clear to her, it doesn't matter so much where she sleeps.

thank you for explaining that to me! I was a bit confused. But then I did get it right. She can chose to pout and stay in the Manor, but essentially she has to make a choice for the future :) I am glad Draco is making a stand.
