They'd subsided into an awkward silence. While Malfoy was busy making omelets at the stove, Harry fixed himself a cup of coffee and added some caramel flavored creamer to it.
"I wish you wouldn't drink that," Malfoy said without turning around.
Harry took a sip and set his cup down. "I'm not pregnant."
"No, but I am, and the smell makes me nauseous."
"Right then," said Harry, standing up from the table. "I'll just go and look in on AJ." He left the kitchen, carrying his cup of coffee, and went back upstairs. Compromising was going to take some effort.
