Harry went downstairs to report to Mrs Malfoy. "Draco was awake, but somewhat grumpy."

"He always was a grouchy patient," she said with a light laugh. "Each small sniffle convinced him he was at the epicenter of an epidemic, and he didn't like it when I stopped pampering him after his symptoms abated."

Narcissa stood and handed AJ over to Harry, brushing a kiss across the baby's brow.

Harry jiggled his son, making AJ giggle. "My sympathies," he said wryly. "That sounds terrible."

She stepped into the Floo and smiled at him. "Draco's maladies were nothing compared to his father's."

I can see a little Draco demand love and attention from his mom when he felt sick. He doesn't dare demand that from Harry at the moment, so he reacts even grumpier than usual.

Draco's resentment is coming out, now that he's not feeling well enough to censor himself.
