The following day, Draco retreated to the Manor to hide his confusion and nurse his pique. Being pregnant made him broody and made him want things he knew were beyond his reach. His mum tolerated his sullen silence for only so long before coaxing the whole story from him.
Draco ended with, "I've completely bollocksed it up, haven't I?"
"That's not to say your relationship with Harry and your children cannot be salvaged," his mother advised. "Life is short, Draco. Look at me, a widow before the age of fifty. The time to work at your family life is now."
