Draco settled AJ in a nest of blankets and pillows on the floor of the dining room. He and Potter ate there to keep an eye on their son. Conversation between them was stilted, but it was better than sarcasm; thus, Draco counted it as a win.
"How's your mum?"
"She's well, thank you." Draco pushed some food around his plate before saying, "I have plans for tomorrow."
Potter glanced up. "You don't need my permission."
Feeling his shoulders tense, Draco came clean. "I'm meeting Pansy for lunch."
Potter's eyes flashed and his jaw tightened. "Keep your wits about you."
