Harry greets him at the Portkey office with a hug and a peck on the cheek, just like any other bimonthly trip. Draco’s trunks have already preceded him to the manor, though he’s planning to stay at Grimmauld Place, like he always does.
“How does it feel to have a mastery?” he murmurs. Draco just hums, ignoring the faces peering out from the portraits that line the walls. He traces the lines in Harry’s palm instead, the artistry of folds and creases.
“It feels like coming home,” Draco says, and he doesn’t mean the mastery or any of his studies.
