“Hi!” Teddy calls, waving as Draco pauses at the garden gate. Harry watches as his eyes light up, spotting Karst coiled around Draco’s arm and over his shoulder.
“Who is this?” Teddy asks, hair paling to white as he bounces up to stand next to Draco, peering up at the snake. Karst looks back, gold eyes spinning gently.
“Its name is Karst,” Harry says, as Draco crouches down to Teddy can get a closer look.
“Can I touch you?” Teddy asks, waiting for Karst to nod before brushing its smooth white scales.
“More polite than others,” Karst hisses in approval.
