“Should we stop?”
Pressing his face into his hands, Draco can’t see Harry’s expression, but his voice is gentle.
“No,” Draco mumbles, then takes a deep breath and repeats the word, pulling his hands away from his face. He catches sight of Karst, curled up on the window seat in the sun, and somehow that image grounds him, give him some perspective.
“I guess it’s all a negotiation, in the end,” Draco admits. He thinks about the fact that he’s an only child. He thinks about options.
“I could be okay with having a child,” he says, “if you are.”
