"In this case, ignorance really is bliss," said Potter.
Draco grew incensed. "But-"
"Malfoy," Potter interrupted sharply, "do you believe your mother would keep something truly awful from you?"
She would not, Draco was forced to admit, if only to himself. "I don't understand why the subject is taboo," he said.
Potter sighed. "Look, you caught me flat footed by asking. I would like to take some time to think it over before deciding to tell you or not."
AJ broke the tension between them by making a rude noise. Potter scooped him up. "Let's go change your nappy, son."
