Summary: Draco appreciates Molly’s faith in him.
Although pleased with Mrs Weasley’s certainty that he would be a good parent, Draco wasn’t sure he agreed with her reasoning. His parents hadn’t so much doted on him during his formative years as spoiled him rotten. Now that he was grown, he recognized that he’d responded by becoming an impudent brat. He could also admit he hadn’t fully put that behavior behind him. All Draco could do was try to be better.
“Thank you,” he said to Mrs Weasley, meaning every word. “I appreciate your faith in me.”
At least she had faith in him. Potter clearly did not.
