Summary: Draco has hope for the future.
After Potter promised to teach him to cook, Draco was feeling more optimistic about their relationship. They’d had a contentious beginning, true, but marriages through the millennia had been based on less than mutual attraction and worked out. Purebloods, especially, tended to favor arranged marriages. Perhaps his own parents had married for that reason.
Although he and Potter weren’t in love and most likely never would be, Draco thought he could be content so long as Potter wasn’t angry and cold to him. At least they seemed to share the common goal of setting a good example for their children.
