"Hello, darling. You were running late, so I didn't wait tea. I hope you don't mind?"
Draco shook his head and pulled out the chair across from his mother. He poured himself a cuppa, using the familiar routine of preparing his tea to help settle his thoughts.
"Draco?" his mum prodded. "Are you going to drink that, or do you plan to stir it until it evaporates?"
Draco gave her a tight smile as he set the spoon aside and took a bracing sip of piping hot tea.
"What's troubling you, son?"
She knows me so well, Draco mused.
