Narcissa nodded and reached to squeeze Draco's hand. "l'll go check on Harry," she said. "Don't lose hope, Draco. The fact that he didn't take AJ and storm out of here means he's trying, too."
Draco offered a fleeting smile. "In other words, don't borrow trouble."
"Exactly."
Draco watched his mother sweep out of the parlor. He knew she meant well, but he didn't see how there was anything he and Potter could salvage of their marriage. Draco was tired of fighting with Potter, tired of not seeing his son more often, and tired of putting on a good face.
