Talking seemed like a good idea and a step in the right direction, but Draco was almost scared to get his hopes up. Their last talk had ended in a row. Still, if Potter was willing to try, the least Draco could do was meet him halfway. Or, in this case, meet Potter for dinner at his cottage.
Draco penned a reply to Potter's message and sent it on its way, via owl. He knew his Mum would be thrilled to have AJ for the evening, and she'd be even more happy to know that Draco and Potter were communicating.
