As Draco lay in bed that night, his mind was on his dinner with Potter and the conversation with his mother. He recognized the wisdom in taking things slowly and in avoiding confrontation with Potter, but Draco was also determined to have things settled between them before his baby was born. He hoped Potter would care enough for their children's welfare to cooperate in providing a stable home life for them.
Draco placed his palm on his stomach. Most people would be happy about adding to their family. Instead, he was worried about what the future held for his family.
