Harry heard Malfoy release a pent-up breath.
Malfoy ran his hands through his hair in a sign of agitation. "Why would Pansy do such a thing?"
"She was trying to eliminate the competition, I reckon," Harry said with a shrug.
"Competition?"
"She aspires to be the next Lady Malfoy."
"That's absurd," scoffed Malfoy. "Pansy knows I'm bent."
"You wouldn't be the first gay person to enter into a straight marriage," said Harry. He shifted AJ to his shoulder and rubbed the baby's back. Just thinking about how close he'd come to losing his son made him furious all over again.
