"We spoke last night, after he put AJ to bed," Harry hastened to reassure Mrs Malfoy. "Perhaps he's not up yet. I'll check on him and have him contact you soon."
Harry ended the firecall and went upstairs, expecting Malfoy to be indulging in the satisfaction of a lazy lie-in. He knocked on the bedroom door but got no response. A small frisson of alarm slid up Harry's spine, and he cautiously opened the door.
"Malfoy?"
Malfoy came from the en suite, looking wan and ghastly. He ignored Harry and crawled back into bed.
Harry nodded once. "I'll make tea."
