Once dinner was over, Malfoy announced he was going to visit his mother. It was a huge relief, as far as Harry was concerned. He'd been on edge all day, and even AJ had picked up on the tension between them. Now that Harry was more relaxed, AJ seemed happier.
Harry settled his son on a blanket on the floor and gave him some toys to play with while he turned on the telly for mindless entertainment. He found his mind drifting to his recent conversations with Malfoy, resenting that they were stuck with one another, for better or worse.
