Sitting in front of the fire, Harry sighs into his cup. Even the scent of toffee rising isn’t enough to make him smile. Draco’s coffee is sitting under a Stasis Charm, peppermint steam billowing in on itself. He’s late.
Just then, the flames rise green to fill the fireplace, and Draco steps off the hearth. Harry opens his mouth to complain about the hour but closes it again. Draco looks tired. Instead, Harry pats the cushion next to him.
“I got you carry-away coffee,” he says, nodding at the Stasis Charm. Draco sinks onto the sofa, curling into Harry.
“Thanks.”
