slythindor100 25 Days of Draco and Harry Traditional prompt #9
Authors Notes: Title from THE SNOW WILL ARRIVE LIKE A FOX IN A DREAM. Running a bit late today!
It’s probably the thick silence that wakes him; Draco goes from asleep to sitting up, eyes blinking, heart pounding, the taste of metal in his mouth.
“What’s wrong?” Harry mumbles, still nested in the bedclothes.
“I—,” Draco starts, stopping as he tries to sort out his thoughts. This isn’t the Manor, and the War is over. He swallows, focussing on the stillness of the room and the hush from outside. “It snowed.”
“Mmkay,” Harry mumbles, turning his face back into the pillows. “That’s nice.”
Draco leans a little closer into his warmth and watches the snowflakes fall outside the window.
