Later that night, Harry lay awake in bed while the earlier scene from the kitchen replayed in his mind. The image of Malfoy's cautious smile disturbed him on some level. It made Harry realize just how tentative Malfoy had been here, in what was meant to be his home.
Harry knew he was largely to blame for that, and he was ashamed of himself. Pregnancy was stressful enough without him adding to Malfoy's anxiety. Although he'd been trying to keep things civil between them, Harry knew he could, and should, do more to ensure the health of his unborn daughter.
