”Merlin fuck”, Harry panted into Draco’s neck. They were the very image of exhausted post-coital bliss, he was sure. If he wasn’t so tired he’d have opened his eyes and tried to find out. “I wish I could Apparate us right back into bed,” he laughed, after he’d gently pulled himself from Draco’s body and dropped the soap and flannel he’d used on them both.
“I wish you could too,” Draco sighed. “Instead, I think I shall hop back on my broom and then spend a few hours working. Will I see you at dinner?”
“Of course,” Harry agreed easily.

Everyone left in the castle tended to come to every meal, even those otherwise hidden away. But every teacher was handling the pandemic in their own way. From what he’d heard her tell Vector, Sinistra (for example) seemed the very image of a productive teacher. She’d completely revised the first and second year Astronomy textbook, and was now writing one from scratch for more advanced students.
Flitwick, similarly, had rewritten his curriculum and was planning to teach a wholly different set of spells. “So many useful Charms have been lost to time!” he would explain to anyone who would listen.

Draco, from what he’d implied earlier, liked to engage in side projects that might earn him coin. He had apparently already worked with at least one broom manufacturer, doing potion support for the Demand series broom he’d used to challenge Harry yesterday. It explained why he hadn’t seemed at loose ends over the last few weeks of forced “vacation” from their students.
Harry, in contrast, had fully reworked his curriculum his first year teaching. And while most of his Ministry-required textbooks were garbage, he’d long since learned how to prepare his students for OWLS and NEWTS without relying on them.

Harry quickly became the kind of DADA professor who assigned plenty of practical work. He liked class duels and offered direct attacks on a Boggart. Students learned better by doing. And while he did assign them readings chosen judiciously from textbooks the Ministry insisted they purchase, he primarily had them read articles and Auror memoirs.
For reasons like these, Harry had not fallen into quarantine with obvious work-related tasks to use as distractions.
Worse, Harry was baffled by quarantine. An extrovert with a savior complex, he quickly realized he could do little to help besides follow orders and donate money.
