Summary: Anything goes in a hearing.
Harry tensed for battle, and only Mrs Brookhollow's restraining hand on his arm prevented him from surging to his feet to tear a strip off of Higgins. Malfoy's solicitor knew nothing about Harry, nor why he had refused to marry Malfoy. However, Harry was quickly learning that anything goes in a battle over custody and legitimacy.
"Once Mr Malfoy learned of Mr Potter's, er, delicate condition," Higgins continued, "he immediately offered marriage, only to be spurned by Mr Potter."
"He demanded marriage, more like," Harry grumbled under his breath. Mrs Brookhollow shushed him with a stern look.
Harry grudgingly subsided.
