Author’s Notes: Title from Starr sting pain scale. Sudden sorrow has a color .
The blunt end of Teddy’s baseball bat cracks Harry across the back of the knee and his leg buckles, spilling him across the grass.
“Sorry!” Teddy exclaims, even as Draco is helping Harry up.
“That’s okay,” Harry says, thanking Draco with a grimacing smile. Draco nudges him, an unspoken question.
“I’m okay,” Harry says again, and sends a Cooling Charm to where his knee is already swelling.
“It slipped out of my hands,” Teddy says, trying to explain. Harry squeezes his shoulder, and lets Draco take over soothing him.
He’s not sure what he’ll do about the Quidditch game tomorrow.
