It’s not really anything at all; that’s the thing. How has Draco never noticed it before?
They’re having a picnic with Teddy and Rose, a rare treat as Molly has an appointment today and can’t watch her. Draco is sitting on the blanket with Teddy, laying out supplies, as Rose rummages in the basket and helps Harry distribute the picnic items.
“Rose,” Harry says, counting out cutlery, “can you pass your uncle the bowl of salad?”
The word rings wrong, like a bell hit with a bludger. Draco flinches, then spends the rest of lunch trying to figure out why.
