Harry rolled away and stared up at the ceiling. This hadn't been his finest performance, but he'd been surprised by Malfoy's request and his own agreement to it. Now to extricate himself with a minimum of fuss.
Harry cleared his throat. "I need to check on AJ. Are you...will you be okay?"
"Yes."
Harry could glean nothing of Malfoy's thoughts from his tone, and he couldn't muster the energy to try. He'd warned Malfoy this would be a mistake.
Rising from the bed, Harry dressed quickly. "I'll, erm, I'll see you in the morning," he mumbled before he fled.
