Don't say, 'I told you so,' Harry thought to himself. He took a moment to choose his words carefully. "I asked you to be cautious and alert around Parkinson. I don't trust her. Is there something you'd like to tell me?" Harry all but held his breath as he awaited a reply. This entire conversation had him on edge.
Malfoy dropped his eyes to his plate once more. "Mum thinks Pansy may have tried to harm me."
"I see," Harry said, voice tight with suppressed anger. "Is your mother correct?"
Malfoy's already wan countenance paled further. "I...I don't know."
