Malfoy took a deep breath, as if to center himself, before responding to Harry's warning. "I don't plan to spend any time in Pansy's presence in the near future."
Harry felt the knot of tension inside of him ease. He hadn't been looking for a bitter argument, and he was relieved that one was not forthcoming. "Thank you," he said. He stood from the table, scooped up AJ, and turned to leave the kitchen. Harry paused but didn't look back when he added, "I was worried about you."
He fled the kitchen, wanting to escape before things grew more awkward.
