The cool wind blowing into his face is uncomfortable, but it’s a discomfort that he’s chosen. Draco takes a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment to centre himself before he dips back toward the ground.
He’d asked to go flying without thinking, reaching out for the well-worn groove of a familiar coping mechanism.
“You didn’t strain anything, did you?” he asks Harry, who’s hovering just above the ground.
“No,” Harry says, expression a little rueful. “I guess I’m old now. I know better.” His eyes are peering into Draco’s, concern clear.
“Are you okay?”
Draco isn’t quite sure.
