Title: my father and the harvest
Author:
bluedreaming
Team: n/a (challenge over)
Word count: 100
Characters/pairings: Draco/Harry
Challenge: 719: Tradition
Author’s Notes: Title from THE HOUSE AMONG THE OAKS. The rules say that Plot bunnies are allowed, in other words Drabbles about Draco/Harry based on previous challenges are allowed. so I think it's okay to post a little late? Please let me know if that's not the case. (With a long weekend, I got my days scrambled.)
“I’ve often wondered,” Harry asks, getting ready for bed. Draco is already ensconced in fluffy blankets and crisp sheets.
“Hmm?” he hums, turning a page. Draco bites his lip when he’s concentrating, just a little bit.
Sometimes Harry looks at him, and is just filled with the fullness of loving him.
“Why do you still let your mother bother you about inheritance,” he finally says, finding his train of thought again. “I know it hurts you.”
“It’s not—” Draco sighs. “There are good things about tradition, too, you know.”
“But how far can that go?” Harry asks. Draco doesn’t reply.
