“Okay, so, what’s the motivation behind the whole inheritance thing?” Harry asks. He’s perched on the window seat in the library, picking raspberries one by one from a bowl, and popping them into his mouth.
Draco is, nominally, supposed to be reviewing paperwork from the solicitor. Harry is distracting.
He’s glad of it.
“The family house, and the magics,” he says, imagining the sweetly tart taste instead. “The land. And I’m also responsible for an heir.”
“Okay,” Harry says. “So what’s the part that’s bothering you the most?”
Harry’s fingertips are smudged pink with juice. Draco examines them, doesn’t reply.
