Harry doesn’t understand. He opens his mouth to, he’s not sure, ask—
Something?
But the soft hiss of Karst’s voice from the window interrupts, and Harry takes a deep breath and thinks. He and Draco are a team. Draco’s trying to explain and Harry can try his best to figure this out. He reaches out, unsure, but Draco’s fingers fold around his and that’s—
It’s a relief. Harry holds on, thinks. Draco had said that he wasn’t the son. What would Hermione ask?
“If you’re not the son, are you someone else?” he tries.
Draco’s grasp tightens, his fingers shaking.
I should probably also add that this is part of my year-long-running drabbles series that goes from dracoharry100 to draco100 or harry100 (depending on the week) so by now it's probably pretty confusing ^^; (I will, hopefully, have it done and unified in a single post after the end of November.)
