Harry wakes, heart still racing from the half-forgotten monsters that he’d thought to have banished from even his dreams.
“Dammit,” he grumbles, trying to peel the clammy sheets from his skin without waking Draco, a futile endeavour as he feels the mattress shifting.
“What’s wrong?” Draco rasps, voice hoarse with sleep. He looks like a ghost in the moonlight, something that will slip away through Harry’s grasping fingers.
Harry stops trying to untangle himself, and reaches over to Draco instead, wrapping him too tightly, even as Draco helps by pulling him in.
“I love you,” Harry doesn’t need to say.
