Summary: Harry is overthinking things again.
Later that night, Harry lay sleepless in his bed. He was mulling over the implications of his interactions with Malfoy at dinner. With AJ between them and entertaining them with his antics, they had almost seemed like a normal family. Harry didn't like it; they weren't a normal family, and he needed to remember that.
He couldn't allow himself to rely on Malfoy for anything, including companionship, continued decency, or even basic survival. Malfoy had already taken too much from Harry, from his freedom to his future.
Harry couldn't lose anything else to that sly Slytherin and his charming smile.
