Malfoy stared at Harry for a long moment. “Do you think we may have a budding Minister of Magic in the family?”
Harry shrugged. “I think it’s best if AJ and Livvie are allowed to choose their own paths.”
“Unlike us, yeah?”
“Yeah,” Harry responded, his voice clipped. He knew Malfoy was referring to their own childhoods, but Harry was reminded uncomfortably of their current situation.
“Whatever path they choose,” Malfoy continued, not sensing Harry’s shift in mood, “they shall have a loyal staff in us. Isn’t that right, Miss Livvie?” he added, smiling at the baby in his arms.
