Harry was grateful Hermione couldn’t see the expression on his face. “What does Ron think about inviting Malfoy into his home?” he asked.
”I will deal with Ronald,” Hermione responded, voice tart.
Harry winced on his friend’s behalf. If Ron balked at welcoming Malfoy, he’d need to reverse course quickly or suffer Hermione’s wrath.
”You’ll ask Malfoy?” prompted Hermione.
“Yeah, I’ll ask him,” Harry said, “but don’t be surprised if he declines.”
”If he chooses not to come, that’s fine,” she said, ”but don’t you dare neglect to extend the invitation.”
Harry pulled another face. “I won’t, Hermione. I promise.”
