”That’s marvelous, Harry. How does Friday evening sound?”

“Fantastic,” Harry replied. He knew he didn’t sound enthusiastic, but Hermione didn't mention it. “Ron is okay with this, yeah? You did say he knows about dinner?”

”He’ll get wind of it when he sees me setting out the good china.”

“What?!” Harry gasped.

”That was a joke, Harry,” she chided. ”Calm down.”

Harry’s shoulders slumped in relief. “You’re a menace,” he grumbled.

Hermione giggled in his ear. ”I’m looking forward to dinner,” she said. ”I can’t wait to spend time with AJ and Livvie. I already have some gifts for them.”
